Labor cost savings is realized because the Schol/Business administrators (SBA's) input the closing information directly into the program via easy to use web based secure pages which saves on the labor of answering phones! Emergency Closing Manager (ECM) can also provide a source of income for media companies. This is achieved by providing advertising on the "end-user" pages, this advertising can be sold by the radio station to its existing clients. The closing information is viewed by local listeners of the radio station and therefore that audience holds great value.

  • Web interface for all tasks from administration by the Station Administrators (SA's) to viewing of closing information by your listeners.
  • Automatic emailing of all closing information to the station in addition to real-time viewing via specialized secure pages on the back-end of the program that automatically reload and even play sounds when information is updated !
  • ECM tracks each and every click in the program whether from an SBA, SA or your listeners. This is done for security and integrity.

  • By having the SBA's enter the closing information, there can be no doubt as to the integrity of the information.
  • SBA's are automatically emailed the closing information they enter for informational purposes, in addition to emailing it to the station (this feature can be turned off).
  • All administration pages (whether for SBA's or SA's) are easy to use and give explicit instructions. There is a help link on each page for an even more detailed explanation for those that are new to the internet.
  • ECM incorporates sounds on the end-user pages so that Mom or Dad can "set it and forget it", when they hear the sound they know the closing information for their school has been updated !!!
  • ECM has been proven to draw massive amounts of traffic to your existing web site. The front-end that your listeners will use is incorporated into your existing site design which makes it seamless. This can be done via third-level domains (i.e. closings.wrpg.com where wrpg is your call letters) or by using onlineclosings.com/wrpg where wrpg is your call letters. The cost for a third level domain is generally around 5 dollars per month depending on your ISP.
  • SBA's may enter "custom status" messages. For example if they enter something out of the ordinary like "2.5 hour delay" it will be saved in their settings automatically (which they can edit, delete from, or set up ahead of time).
